Matthew Markofsky joined Skymark after obtaining his Masters Degree in Business Administration and Finance from Syracuse University in 1999. His knowledge in accounting and finance was immediately integrated into Skymark’s business operations, including the negotiation of Purchase & Sale Contracts for complex transactions in the acquisition of residential land, structuring and management of debt for acquisitions, and the structuring of equity financing for various joint venture partnerships.

His ongoing responsibilities in the company development projects include strategy planning, budgets, risk management, consulting with legal counsel and reporting to the Limited Partnerships, investors and leading institutional lenders.

His responsibilities include finalizing site plan approval by working with federal and local government authorities, obtaining zoning approvals, managing entitlements, and the permitting and platting of sub-divisions.
